Your child’s English teacher sets homework on PATH.
It’s homework to prepare for Cambridge exams. The teacher chooses it and sends it. PATH marks it and shows the teacher how each student did.
It costs €35.88 a year for each student, after 30 days free.
What the student does, and what you receive
Exercises in the format of each part of the exam, in the browser. Each question is marked when the student hands the homework in, with the right answer and, on most questions, a short explanation. Grammar and vocabulary mistakes come back in a short daily review. The app is in English.
This is how the student sees a marked question. It’s a B2 First key word transformation: rewrite a sentence using a given word.
The box was so heavy that I couldn't lift it.
TOO
The box was ________ me to lift.
too heavy to
1 of 2 marks
Correct answer(s): TOO heavy for
Why: 'So heavy that I couldn't' becomes 'too heavy for me to'. Drop 'it': 'to lift' already refers to the box.
If the teacher adds your email, you get a copy of each homework email. There isn’t a separate account for parents. Inside the student’s account there’s a family tab with their classes and upcoming homework.
If you’re the student: your teacher sends you a link to join. Homework arrives by email, and when you have some to do, the first button on your PATH home page takes you to it.
How it’s marked
| Where PATH uses AI | Who checks it before the student sees it |
|---|---|
| The Library exercises and the daily review exercises | The teacher, if they want: they can print most of them with the key before sending them. |
| Marking Reading, Use of English and Listening | No AI: they’re marked against the answer key. |
| The homework note | The teacher: they read it and can change it before sending. |
| The mark and the comments on Writing homework | The teacher: the student doesn’t see them until the teacher releases them, or until 24 hours after the next class if nobody does. |
| The reply when a student explains a mistake | No one: the student sees it straight away. |
Other things AI marks: the level test and recorded Speaking sessions
In the app’s level test, AI scores the Speaking and Writing and writes the comments in the report, and the student sees the result when they finish.
If the teacher records a Speaking session, AI transcribes the recording and prepares an assessment of the student, which the teacher can review before it’s published; if the teacher doesn’t, it’s published automatically 24 hours after AI prepares it.
€35.88 a year, after 30 days free.
It works out at €2.99 a month, paid once a year, and the subscription renews every year. The 30 days start when the student creates their account, and no card is needed. Without a subscription, the exercises stop opening after day 30, including the homework the teacher sends. If you subscribe earlier, the year starts that day and any trial days left are not added on. If the academy pays for the student’s access, you don’t pay anything.
You can cancel the renewal at any time.
You pay from the student’s account: sign in with the same account they use for homework.
The student’s data
The teacher sees the student’s results. If the teacher works at an academy, the people who run it on PATH can see them too. PATH records how long each answer takes and shows it to the teacher. The student’s data can be downloaded or deleted from their account settings. The services PATH uses, and where each one is, are listed in the privacy policy.
If the student is under 14, PATH asks for your consent: it emails you a link, and you give it on a PATH page. The student can use PATH for 14 days from that email; after that, their exercises pause until consent is given. If the academy or the teacher already holds your signed consent, they can confirm it. Recording the student’s voice in Speaking needs separate consent.

No teacher?
Without signing up, you can do the exercise of the week or a quick level check for free.
To study without a teacher, PATH costs €59.88 a year, after 30 days free. This price is only for people studying without a teacher.
