Cambridge exam homework for your academy’s groups, marked before class.
The teacher picks exercises in the format of each part of the exam, from A2 Key to C2 Proficiency, and sends them as homework. PATH marks Reading, Use of English and Listening as each student hands them in. Before class the teacher sees who did it, who was right first time and which questions most of the group missed.
Neither the academy nor its teachers pay to use PATH. Each student pays €35.88 a year after 30 days free, or the academy pays for their access: €35.88 per student a year.
Dan teaches Cambridge groups and makes PATH. He uses it at his own academy. Or by email: dan@yourpath.io
How it works for the teacher and for you
The teacher
- Picks the exam part and the level in the Library, reads the note PATH drafts, changes it if they want and sends it to the whole class or to the students they pick. The homework is due at the next timetabled class.
- Before class, reads the results question by question: who was right first time, which questions most of the group missed and which wrong answers came up, with the names of who gave them.
- In Writing homework, AI prepares the mark and the comments. The student doesn’t see them until the teacher has reviewed and released them, or until 24 hours after the next class if nobody does.
You, from the academy account
- You open any class and see what the teacher sees: who has done this week’s homework and the results question by question.
- You can also review and release the Writing marks in any class.
- Teachers don’t see students’ phone numbers, addresses or ID numbers. That information stays with the academy account.

What you see from the academy account: every class on one page, with its teacher, its levels, how many students it has and its timetable.
For now, a new academy account allows one teacher, so we look at the rest once that first group is up and running.
What families see and pay
Each student signs in with their own account. If you add the family’s email, they get a copy of each homework email. There isn’t a separate account for parents: inside the student’s account there’s a family tab with their classes and upcoming homework.
Each student has 30 days free from when they create their account, and no card is needed. After that they pay €35.88 a year, in one payment from the student’s account, and the subscription renews every year. Without a subscription, the exercises stop opening after day 30, including homework.
If the academy pays for a student’s access, it’s €35.88 a year and that family never sees a payment screen. You buy the places from the academy account and assign them to the students you choose.
PATH is separate from the academy’s fees, which stay in the software you already use.
Families have their own page, with the price and how to pay: yourpath.io/families
Students under 14
When they create their account, each student gives their date of birth. If they’re under 14, PATH asks for a parent’s or guardian’s name and email and sends them a link to give consent.
The student can use PATH for 14 days from that first email. If there’s no consent by then, their exercises pause until there is.
If you already hold signed consent, and voice recordings
If the academy already holds signed consent, for example on the enrolment form, you confirm it from the academy account, for several students at once. On the same screen you see where each student stands and can email the families still missing.
Recording a student’s voice in Speaking needs separate consent, from the family, or from the academy if its signed consent covers it.
Data
The teacher sees their students’ results, and you see the whole academy’s. PATH records how long each answer takes and shows it to the teacher.
A student’s data can be downloaded or deleted from their account settings. The services PATH uses, and where each one is, are listed in the privacy policy.
Where AI is used
| Where PATH uses AI | Who checks it before the student sees it |
|---|---|
| The Library exercises and the daily review exercises | The teacher, if they want: they can print most of them with the key before sending them. |
| Marking Reading, Use of English and Listening | No AI: they’re marked against the answer key. |
| The homework note | The teacher: they read it and can change it before sending. |
| The mark and the comments on Writing homework | The teacher: the student doesn’t see them until the teacher releases them, or until 24 hours after the next class if nobody does. |
| The reply when a student explains a mistake | No one: the student sees it straight away. |
| The app’s level test: Speaking, Writing and the report’s comments | No one: the student sees the result when they finish. |
| The assessment of a recorded Speaking session | The teacher: they can review it before it’s published; if they don’t, it’s published automatically 24 hours after AI prepares it. |
How we set it up
We start with one of the academy’s groups and its teacher. We set it up together in about 45 minutes, in person if you’re nearby or on a video call.
We create the academy account and the class with its timetable, invite that group’s students by email or with a private link, and the teacher sends the first homework. It reaches the students who have already created their account.
Once that group is up and running, we look at the next step with you.
I’m Dan. I teach Cambridge groups in Santiago de Compostela and set their homework on PATH every week, at my own academy. I do each setup myself.
What PATH doesn’t do yet
- It doesn’t charge the academy’s fees or issue its invoices. That stays in the software you already use.
- A new academy account allows one teacher, for now.
- The app is in English, for teachers and for students.
- Families pay from the student’s account; there’s no separate login for parents.
- The families’ payment screen is in English.
- The class list doesn’t yet show which students have paid or who has trial days left.
- There are no Writing tasks for C2 Proficiency yet, and only a few for A2 Key.
Questions from academies
Can we start with just one group?
Yes, that’s how we always start. Neither the academy nor the teacher pays anything, and each student has 30 days free before paying.
How many teachers can use it?
For now, one for each new academy account. Once the first group is up and running, we talk about the others.
Does the family pay, or the academy?
You decide, student by student. If the family pays, it’s €35.88 a year after 30 days free, from the student’s account. If the academy pays, it’s €35.88 per student a year and that family never sees a payment screen.
Does it replace our management software?
No. PATH handles homework and its results. Fees and invoices stay in the software you already use.
What happens if a student doesn’t pay?
For 30 days they have full access. After that, without a subscription, they can’t open the exercises, including the homework the teacher sends. If the academy pays for their access, this doesn’t happen.
Is it official Cambridge material?
No. PATH isn’t affiliated with Cambridge University Press & Assessment. The exercises follow the format of each part of the exam. You can do the exercise of the week without signing up.
